The ski slopes at nearby Ochsenkopf (1100m above sea level) have chairlifts and snow-making equipment. The Fichtel Mountains are worth visiting in any season and will delight you with their scenic beauty and many recreational opportunities. Fichtelberg is located north of the historic town of Bayreuth and a short distance away from the World Heritage City of Bamberg and Nuremberg.
