The small sheep barn offers a comfortable space for a couple or small family who wish to discover the Périgord, between Lot and Dordogne. The property has a living room, a perfectly equipped kitchen, where you can have your meals while admiring the surrounding countryside thanks to two bay windows, and a bedroom. Above the bedroom is a small bunk-loft that can be reached by an open staircase. Situated between the medieval fortress town of Villefranche du Périgord (4.5km)and the small village of Frayssinet le Gélat (5km), the cottage is surrounded by meadows, wheat and corn fields, chestnut groves and oak and pine forests. There are plenty of walk or bike trails. You are also perfectly placed to visit the medieval towns of Sarlat,Cahors, wonderful sites like Rocamadour, Padirac Caves, the superb fortress towns of Monpazier,Domme or even Belvès. You can also visit the famous Lascaux or Pech Merle Caves, go for a walk in St Cirq Lapopie and enjoy the wonderful view of the Lot Valley. 500m from the cottage is a farmhouse inn where you can taste all the specialities of the region: Foie gras, duck breasts, potatoes with ceps and other delicacies. You can also enjoy all the local small markets.
